The 2008 Ohio State Fair Junior Horse Show will be July 28th - August 1st . PAS rules for qualifying shows in 2008 are in the State Fair Section of the website. Anyone qualifying in a State Fair qualifying show may enter the State Fair Junior Horse Show.  Please see the revised schedule of classes on the website under the State Fair heading as there have been significant changes to the show schedule and deadlines.  Classes will run as listed in the show program in the State Fair section of the notebook. The only class changes for 2008 is that draft showmanship is divided into junior and senior classes, Saddle Seat Pleasure is now one class, horse/pony for members 9-18 years of age, and Ground Roping members 9-18 years of age has been added. The entry deadline for 2008 is Monday, July 14 by 4:30 p.m. to the Ohio State Fair Office. Participants will not be stalled by county. Neither Health Papers nor The Coggins Test are required for the 2008 show. However, sick horses will be sent home. FFA continues to be combined with 4-H in the Ohio State Fair Youth Horse Show. In order for FFA youth to get to state fair, they must compete in the local 4-H qualifying classes held by their respective county.

The exhibitor's letter for this year's show is included in the State Fair section of this website. Copies should be made and handed out to any youth that is coming to the state fair horse show.
